The reply above yours names her as Catherine Malfitano, although I do recall Maria Ewing decided to forego a bodystocking and appear fully nude in her estranged husband Peter Hall's production of Salome. I understand Catherine Malfitano and Karita Mattila have also gone fully naked for the role.

Many thanks for the additional information. For a moment, I thought it might be Giselle Allen, who played Salome at Belfast's Grand Opera House in 2015 (although I now discover there was a "dance double" for the brief nudity).

Interesting to see the changes in attitudes about nudity in the arts. The simple fact that classicly trained opera stars are willing to bare is amazing to me. Not porn but erotic.
